NASK: ‎On August 15, Lee Miller‎ said in the Facebook group “Duolingo Esperanto Learners”, “The most likely dates for NASK 2020 will be: Arrival Sunday, June 28. Classes June 29 through July 3. Departure July 4. 5 days of classes at William Peace University in Raleigh, NC. Google says there are only 318 days left until June 28 next year…”

In English it reads: NOREK 2019 will occur in Sidney, BC, between September 27th and 29th.  It is necessary to book a minimum of two nights (27th and 28th). There are many possible places to stay in Sidney and Victoria.  Transportation from Victoria to Sidney by bus occurs hourly and takes about 40 minutes. 

There are many diverse possibilities for staying overnight, and free camping is available close to the congress meeting place. Read more details on the NOREK Facebook group page and convey your needs and intent to come to  wallydutemple@telus.net

Verkoj is a website for authors, creators, and the people who enjoy their creations.  Curated by two Esperantists from Israel, Verkoj’s pri (about) section states:

“Multaj verkistoj kontribuis kaj konstante kontribuas al la Esperanta kulturo. Ili ne agas pro ekonomiaj konsideroj, sed male: kreado en Esperanto postulas, ke ili investu multe da tempo kaj rimedoj, kelkfoje eĉ fronte al indiferenta kaj nekomprenema ĉirkaŭaĵo. In English, this says, “Many authors contributed, and constantly contribute, to Esperanto culture. They don’t do it for economic reasons; but on the contrary, creating in Esperanto demands that they invest a lot of time and resources. Sometimes even confronting surroundings of indifference and an unwillingness to understand.. They act only out of love for literature and for the language, and feel that they are completing a very important task.  One can consider them naive and unrealistic people, but during the passage of time, they have given the Esperanto community a truly, unexpected treasure – original and rich literature and poetry, which has its own intrinsic value within the world culture, This website is dedicated to them. It’s aim is to make their works easily findable to the vast public.”
