Website of the Week: La Galerio Vincent Van Gogh

Website of the Week: La Galerio Vincent Van Gogh

This week we are featuring a site focusing on the works of Vincent Van Gogh. Indeed, it is a full blown gallery along with biographical information and a chronology of Van Gogh’s life. It’s actually pretty cool getting lost in the art for a little while and using your Esperanto to learn about this famous artist, so defintely be sure to let yourself wander a bit.

While browising the Esperanto Studies Foundation’s site, I came across this post discussing the constructed language called Lingua Franca Nova (Elefen). Simon Davies, the author of the post, gives us an informaive overview of the language and even some some sample texts in juxtaposition to Esperanto. Davies also appears to be planning later posts on other planned languages, so if you’re interested in the journey ahead we urge you to keep an eye on the series as it develops. There’s nothing more meta than learning about planned languages through a planned language!
